By decision of Labour and Social Security Minister Domna Michailidou, the mandatory Labour Day holiday of May 1, 2024 is being postponed until Tuesday, May 7, 2024, due to the fact that it coincides with Holy Wednesday.
The decision to move the May Day holiday to Easter Tuesday was taken so as not to disrupt market activity at an important time for retail trade and consumers.
